They were there for about 5 minutes without sound or motion and then just walked away. There were two sets of shoes up against the door where the toes were sticking in the inside of the room. One of these nights, I was working late at the desk on my laptop. The owners trusted us with the key and would let ourselves in. We always arrived on Sunday night and more often that not, we were alone in the entire hotel. One major encounter that took place was in Room #8. My wife an had had quite a few strange encounters over that time. We had been staying at the Artisan Hotel over the course of 5 years (2000 to 2005) while I worked on a project for Volusia County.
